Welcome to A Taste of Freedom!

On November 24, 2007 the "A Taste Of Freedom" team was in downtown Vancouver, BC at the Art Gallery with approximately 1000 peaceful protesters, to support a grieving mother, after her son was killed by Police at the Vancouver Airport on October 14, 2007 by the use of a Taser gun.

Deliciously warm hot chocolate was served from our tent and was enjoyed by the crowd as they listened to the many speakers throughout the afternoon. Thank you to everyone who came by and donated so generously to the donation can at our table.

"Remember Robert" t-shirts were purchased by the lucky few who got there early as the supply for the day was limited.

Several weeks before Robert died "Dont Taze Me Bro", were words spoken by a young man named Andrew Meyer, just before he was viciously attacked by University Police at a Jon Kerry speech, after asking a politically sensitive question. This t-shirt was made because of a on-line challenge, thrown down by mikeyzero, when he declared he wanted to see all the activists in Vancouver wearing "Dont Taze Me Bro" t-shirts at the next rally. His version here.
